Fundación Pachamama

For over twenty years, Fundación Pachamama has been working in the south-central Amazon of Ecuador to support indigenous organizations in the construction of Sumak Kawsay (Buen Vivir). The Foundation is part of a global community that offers people the opportunity to learn, connect, participate, travel and celebrate life with the purpose of creating a sustainable future that works for all.

Fundación Pachamama supports the permanent protection of the Amazonian headwaters and indigenous territories against the expansion of extractive industries. Fundación Pachamama promotes a resilient and innovative model respectful of life, based on Good Living, and with an emphasis on the recognition and respect for human rights and the rights of nature, to generate the necessary conditions in which the nationalities and indigenous peoples of the Panamazonia strengthen their processes of self-determination.

Fundación Pachamama’s vision until 2025 is to support the construction of a common future for the Amazon and the world, in the search for a sustainable, inclusive and innovative society based on Good Living, respectful of human rights and the rights of nature, in which indigenous people achieve the consolidation and autonomous management of their territories.
